Education Assistance
to Zinvié Fandji Primary School in Benin : an urgent issue
Education support
which is needed urgently to ZinviéF Primary School in Benin. For a better
educational environment for students, the International WeLoveU Foundation's
educational support activities shed light on the future of children.
Zanvié is a small
rural town about an hour's drive from Benin, the capital of Kotonu. Benin has a
poor supply of electricity to most areas except the capital city. Zanvié is
also not different from these. When the sun goes down, residents must live in
the dark interior.
The local children
who study hard for their bright future, study at poorly-equipped schools.
particularly, schools that hold afternoon classes between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.
have much difficulty as the evening begins. It is the same situation at
ZinviéFandji Primary School, attended by 650 students of six different grades.
The school staff drilled holes on the wall to let light in, but the afternoon
class students still had to receive education under the dimness of the evening
night which begins around 4 p.m.
The International
WeLoveU Foundation came to learn of the situation, and made a decision to
install solar-based electricity facility at the school; it also decided to
provide school supplies for the children who couldn’t afford schoolbags and school stationery.
September 26, 20 members of the International WeLoveU
Foundation Benin Cotonou Branch wen to Fandji Primary School. All students and
teachers welcomed the members. The village head and parents visited the school
and gave thanks. The International WeLoveU Foundation supported 650 bags, 1,300
notebooks, and 650 pencils with the hope that students would study better
conditions.
The real installation of electric facilities
started from October 9. It took 3 days to install the Solar panel on the school
roof and connect with battery. The work progressed between morning class and
afternoon class and after class not to disturb the classes. The new lights were
installed in six classes. Finally, when the electricity comes in the classroom
and it made bright light, the students felt very happy. And they said "We
received more valuable help than money. The principal, Giselle Gangu, A Group
said " We try to salve the problem of electricity but we could not find
the good solution. So we want to give appreciation to the International WeLoveUFoundation
helped us"
heal mind as well as educational support
On
the other hand, the International WeLoveUFoundation planned to deliver

proper treatment when they were sick at school. On November 2, members who
visited the school once again supported 14 kinds of emergency medicines
including analgesic, cold medicines, bandages, virus treatments, disinfectants
and multivitamins. On that day, the school delivered a letter of appreciation
to the International WeLoveU Foundation. Principal of Gregory Rissesh Group B

also expressed his opinion of how thankful the International WeLoveU foundation
is and asked to request cooperation with other problems of school.

International WeLoveUFoundtion. It’s so much beautiful.Like name of WeLoveU, We love you. I hope to
see you again next time.” He expressed his thanks.
